Metal Stud Framer

Hiring for All Levels

Summary:

Plans and erects metal framing to create walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions to attach finish substrate in commercial and industrial buildings by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Rolls out power cords and checks out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks
  • Inventories materials, tools and equipment at the beginning and end of shift
  • Occasionally lays out for walls, ceilings and soffits
  • Measures, cuts, assembles and installs metal framing plumb & square
  • Builds walls, Ceilings and Soffits using various size and gauge metal studs and mechanical fasteners
  • Cleans up and stocks materials as required
  • Must have knowledge of industrial standards

Drywall Hanger

Hiring for All Levels

Summary:

Plans gypsum drywall installations, fastens drywall to metal framing and furring channels and installs drywall to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in commercial and industrial buildings by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Rolls out power cords and checks out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks
  • Inventories materials, tools and equipment at the beginning and end of shift
  • Measures and marks cutting lines on drywall for lengths, heights and penetrations
  • Scribes cutting lines on drywall and breaks board along cut lines
  • Fits and fastens board into specified position on walls, ceilings and soffits
  • Cuts openings into board for any and all penetrations
  • Cleans up and stocks materials as required
  • Must have knowledge of industrial standards

Drywall Taper

Hiring for All Levels

Summary:

Tapes joints between plasterboard or other wallboards to prepare wall surface for painting or papering by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Rolls out power cords and checks out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks
  • Inventories materials, tools and equipment at the beginning and end of shift
  • Cuts out and pre-fills damaged areas on finished walls with hot mud
  • Mixes joint compound by hand with stomper or with an electric drill with beater bar
  • Tapes over flats, butts and angles by hand or with mechanical applicator
  • Spreads and smoothes compound material over taped flats, butts and angles surface
  • Spots screws with joint compound
  • Installs cornerbead to all corners then sands and flush coats
  • Sands rough spots after compound has dried
  • Applies flush coat of compound
  • Sands rough spots after compound has dried
  • Touches up any nicks, dings, scuffs or pin holes
  • Applies primer to walls and ceiling preparatory to final finishing
  • Applies texturing compound to walls and ceiling preparatory to final finishing
  • Cleans up all mechanical tools on a daily basis to keep in proper working condition
  • Cleans up all excessive spills of compound on floors
  • Stocks materials as required
  • Must have knowledge of industrial standards

Painter

Hiring for All Levels

Summary:

Preparing and painting a variety of surfaces, determining repairs that can be accomplished by building staff or need to be referred to a contractor, ensuring availability of supplies required for the job assignments, and ensuring assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read blue prints
  • Assists other trades as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of there work activates
  • Coordinates with Project Manager of the job and Field job superintendent of the project and must work well with other trades on the job site
  • Maintains tools and painting equipment such as (sprayers, sanders) etc, for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition
  • Operates all painting tools and associated equipment (sanders, sprayers, rollers, hvlp,) for the purpose of preparing surfaces and applying finishes
  • Paint various surfaces (buildings, hand rails, floors, steps, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining facilities in an attractive, safe, comfortable and operating condition
  • Prepares various surfaces (cleaning, sanding, patches, masking, nail holes, cracks, joints, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that they are ready for painting and/ or refinishing
  • Procures equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
  • Transports various items (tools, equipment, sundries, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site
  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the effective functioning of the work unit
  • Cleans up and stocks materials as required

Wall Covering Installer

Hiring for Journeyman Level

Summary:

EIFS/Stucco Applicator

Hiring for All Levels

Summary:

Applies Exterior Insulated Finish System to walls, ceilings, and partitions of
buildings, to produce finished surface by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cuts foam
  • Installs the foam insulation to the substrate
  • Mix base and finishing coats to desired consistency
  • Erects and tears down scaffolds
  • Rasp/Sand foam to create smooth surface
  • Applies base coat to foam
  • Applies fiberglass mesh by embedding the mesh with base coat
  • Applies finish coat
  • Spreads base and finish coat with trowel and/or float to attain uniform thickness

General Laborer

Summary:

General laborers are workers who take up various supporting tasks in warehouses, construction sites

Responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes.
  • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.

Project Manager/Estimator

We are looking for a candidate to join our team that has Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator Experience in Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Stucco/EIFS, ACT, Wall Covering, and Painting. We conduct work in the Northwest and Pacific Regions (Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, & Montana) on Federal, State and Private Commercial Projects.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to our Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Area.

 

 Position Summary:

Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other bid documentation for completing estimates and managing projects awarded.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide leadership and technical support to project team including superintendents, crew leaders, field staff, office staff and other departments
  • Understand project plans, specifications, scopes and contracts
  • Deliver successful projects to clients, on schedule, on budget, and with the highest quality
  • Create and manage project budgets including labor, material, equipment, sub contracts, and purchase orders
  • Manage projects including risks to budgets, schedule, quality, for overall profit and success
  • Procure materials and equipment with vendors
  • Manage manpower to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to resolve problems in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide project reports and budget forecasts to Supervisors
  • Complete Monthly billing and change order procedures
  • Negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreements
  • Monitor safety requirements and safety program documents

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager and Estimator of Drywall, Painting, EIFS or related scopes
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Professional, self-motivating and positive attitude
  • Computer skills- Outlook, Excel And Word
  • Sage Contractor 100 & Edge Estimating Software knowledge helpful

Project Manager/Estimator Assistant

 Position Summary

Assist in analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other bid documentation for completing estimates and managing projects awarded.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Assists in computing cost factors and prepares estimates
  • Assists in consulting with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates.
  • Assists in evaluating specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
  • Assists in Interfacing with clients, venders and other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
  • Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
  • Assists in managing contractual commitments for contractors including costs, quality, schedule, and field activities.
  • Assists in preparing or reviewing reports on progress, materials used and labor costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
  • Assists in reviewing project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Assists in establishing work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Assists in preparing project reports for management, client, or others.

 

 Education and/or Experience                                                           

  •  Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University.
  • At least 2 seasons or 1 full year of construction management assistant internship or related work experience.
  • Or Associate degree (A.A.) and 5 years related Trade (field) experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some experience with Estimating/Project Managing Software, Extensive math skills along with Microsoft Office Software.
